The Psychiatric Diseases Hospital has 75 beds. This hospital has
given modern outlook with creation of female wards and EEG facilities.
In Psychiatric Diseases Hospital on an average 150 patients per
day attend the OPD, 4--5 patients per day are admitted, about 2-3
EEGs, 02 ECT, 04-05 X-Rays per day and about 15 tests(pathology/biochemistry)
are conducted in various labs.

The Psychiatric Diseases Hospital
Services provided at the hospital include OPD, Indoor, undergraduate
teaching and training, special clinics, community awareness programme
etc. All our Consultants and Resident Doctors attend daily OPD (Week
days). The services also include Outdoor, Indoor, Modified ECT,
EEG, Prison Psychiatric, Medico legal, Liaison (call service) and
Counseling.
The specialized clinics at the hospital include Deaddiction clinic,
Psychosomatic clinic
and Child Guidance clinic.
Our specialised teaching service cover under graduate teaching
(clinic/theory), Internal teaching, House Physician teaching, Academic
Seminars/symposium, Field Medical Officer orientation training,
Legal discussions.
We also run many public awareness programmes. These include Hospital
attendants programme, De-addiction counseling, Mental health seminars,
Psychologists services and Mental Health camps in rural areas.
